DAILY TIMETABLE

At ABC Go Nurseries the time to learn and the time to live are not separated. The children grow and learn at the same time, thanks to the educational activities promoted by their teacher and the surrounding environment, that take place all day. Teachers use lunch time and hygiene time to bond with the children. While they play we talk to them, smile with them… educate them.

The overall nursery timetable is organized around the following activities, although each classroom has a detailed daily schedule which is available to parents if they wish to consult it:

The Centre is open all year round from 7:30 to 19:00, Monday to Friday inclusive, except days declared as non-working days by current legislation (local, regional or national)

FOOD, HEALTH AND RELAXATION

At our nursery we know that diet, hygiene and rest time, are key factors that help children’s growth. In addition to preventing diseases, creating healthy eating and hygiene habits that become second nature during this stage of their lives contribute to the development of healthy and self-confident children.

The children’s diet is produced by specialized personnel, ensuring in all cases adequate food for the general needs of each age group and specific needs of children with eating disorders.

The teachers accompany and guide children with all hygiene processes such as potty training, washing hands, brushing teeth… so that health education becomes a part of their daily routine.

Babies and 1 to 2 year old children eat in their classrooms, where they sleep afterwards, babies in cribs and 1 year old children in suitable cots. 2 to 3 year old children eat in a specially equipped area in the multipurpose classroom, and afterwards they nap in their classroom. Each child has their own bed linen, which is cleaned at the laundry in the centre, at least once a week or whenever it’s necessary.

RELATIONSHIP WITH FAMILIES

At our nursery, the relationship with families is one of the key factors of our pedagogical approach. We understand that families are the primary educators of our pupils, and we will support them and help them in this process, maintaining close co-operation with them.

To this end we have developed several communication strategies with families:

Initial interview before the child is enrolled at the centre, to obtain all the necessary information and to facilitate the adaptation period.
General meetings with parents the beginning of each project.
Individual tutorials during the course at the request of the family or the teacher.
School Agenda for daily two-way communication between home and school.
Written assessment reports about the child’s development.
Letters and / or emails to parents.
Physical notice board at the school.
Web access to parents’ area.

In addition, teachers and the head teacher are available each day to answer any questions, once the arrival and departure of children is over.

PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL EARLY WARNING TEAMS

At ABC Go Nurseries we have permanent staff at the centre who specialize in Infant Psychology and early childhood treatment. They are responsible for assessing children, as well as the intervention and stimulation of possible educational difficulties or needs that arise throughout each child’s development.

Both teams work closely together, along with the teaching staff and of course in co-ordination with the families of our pupils.

UNIFORM

Children will wear a school uniform from 12 months of age onwards. We believe this is beneficial because it promotes equality between classmates and facilitates the daily routine for parents.

Our uniforms are of the highest quality, designed for children’s comfort and safety all year round, 100% made in Spain, with the possibility of adaptation for children with skin allergies to certain materials.
